Presentation of first book by Doctor of Economics Anna Zalinyan held in Yerevan

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS. The presentation of the first book by Doctor of Economics Anna Zalinyan titled “The Peculiarities of Public Administration of the Economy of the Republic of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China” was held today at the Public Administration Academy of Armenia.

The book analyzes the formation and organization of activities of public administration systems of Armenian and Chinese economies, the structure and functions of public authorities, as well as economic and political systems, reports Armenpress. Summing up, the author introduces a number of suggestions targeting the further improvement of public administration of Armenian economy.

The presentation was launched with the opening remarks by Arsen Lokyan, Rector of PAARA, who emphasized the significance of scientific and educational achievements recorded in the Armenian-Chinese relations and highlighted the author’s active engagement in this process. Dr. Mher Sahakyan, the Founder of “China-Eurasia” Council for Political and Strategic Research (CECPSR) foundation also flagged the importance and topicality of the book.

Member of Standing Committee on Regional and Eurasian Integration, Doctor of Economics, Professor Mikayel Melkumyan, who is also a member of Armenia-China Parliamentary Friendship Group; Dr. Arthur Davtyan, Yerevan State University Vice-Rector; Dr. Artur Israyelyan, YSU Head of Chair; Doctor of Economics, Professor Ashot Markosyan and other distinguished guests delivered remarks and highlighted the comparative analysis of the formation and functioning of the public administration systems of the two countries’ economies.

Wrapping up the event, Anna Zalinyan expressed her profound gratitude to the attendees and to all those, who supported her scientific endeavors. The author explored the culture of Chinese state administration during her studies in mainland China, which became the cornerstone of the monograph. For the theoretical part of the volume, the author made extensive use of original Chinese-language texts and documents, while the practical part is based on researches undertaken by Zalinyan herself.

Anna Zalinyan, who also lectures on the Chinese language at “Cambridge International School” in Armenia, underlined that “the extent of the study of China’s governance culture is as huge as the country’s incredibly large territories."
