community

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS. Director of the Center for Law and Justice "Tatoyan" Foundation, Arman Tatoyan, met with Armenian community in Sydney, during which he presented facts collected by his Foundation about the Azerbaijani war crimes in Armenia’s sovereign territory and in Artsakh.

The meeting was attended by public figures, experts, journalists and others.

Mr. Tatoyan presented the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani incursions in Armenia’s Jermuk, Syunik and Gegharkunik provinces, stating that the facts show that Azerbaijan carries out fortification works for its illegal armed deployments both in Armenia’s occupied territories, near the villages and on roads, it even prepares for winter illegally constructing military roads, positions, buildings and bunkers.

The Director of the Foundation informed that the shots of the Azerbaijani side near Armenia’s border villages are fired daily. They terrorize the people and made life there impossible.

Tatoyan also presented the grounds of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination. He presented evidence, proving the continuation of the Azerbaijani policy of Armenophobia and hostility sponsorship.

Arman Tatoyan stated that Azerbaijan misleads the international community and has no intentions for peace. The withdrawal of Azerbaijani armed forces from Armenia’s territories is an urgent issue, he stated, adding that there must be a demilitarized security zone in order to restore people’s normal life, rights and security.

In this situation Tatoyan highlighted the importance of public solidarity and uniting of all efforts for solving the current security issues of the countries. He urged the meeting participants to definitely visit provinces while in Armenia in order to see the situation in border villages.

Tatoyan’s visit to Australia has been organized at the initiative of the Armenian National Committee of Australia during which he is scheduled to have a number of meetings and discussions relating to the Foundation’s activity directions.
