Russian Prime Minister arrives in Yerevan

PanARMENIAN.Net - Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin arrived in Yerevan for a working visit on November 18-19. The head of the Russian government will take part in a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) in the Armenian capital.

Besides the EAEU session, the Russian PM will hold meetings with his Belarussian and Kyrgyz counterparts.

Mishustin's visit comes against the backdrop of an escalation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border after the latter's offensive in the province of Syunik. The Armenian side has confirmed deaths and injuries, while 13 soldiers have been captured by Azerbaijan. Two combat positions too have gone under the control of Azeri forces, 24 Armenian troops have gone missing.
