Georgian Foreign Minister Mikheil Janelidze will meet with the U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson within the framework of the NATO ministerial, which will be held in Brussels in the next few days, the US State Department website says.

The meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO member countries and partners will be held in Brussels on December 5-6. The main topic of the meeting will be the “Open Doors” policy of the alliance and cooperation with post-graduate countries of NATO, reports Novosti-Gruzia.

According to the message of the State Department, the U.S. Secretary of State will meet with Janelidze to express Washington’s support for expanding cooperation between Georgia and NATO.

Tillerson will also meet with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels.
