Armenian parliament votes to elect new economic competition chief
The Armenian National Assembly resumed its regular session on Monday, with several bills on the agenda.
In parallel, a secret ballot has launched in the parliament on the election of Gegham Gevorgyan as the new head of the State Commission for Protection of Economic Competition.
Gevorgyan’s candidacy is supported by the ruling My Step bloc. Opposition Bright Armenia faction unveiled its decision to vote against his candidacy, citing his ‘lack of enough experience’ to hold such a high post.
