YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS. Due to bad weather conditions, namely dense fog, a number of flights were cancelled and delayed in Armenia’s Zvartnots International Airport on December 16 and 17. 

The airport’s PR manager Lusine Moghrovyan told Armenpress that she cannot say exactly how many people are waiting for their flights at the moment as changes are taking place constantly.

“Some flights have been completely cancelled. I think the airlines have provided clarifications to their passengers, but I cannot say exactly how many people are waiting for a flight because it is changing”, she said, urging to follow the changes in the schedule at the airport’s website and app.

Earlier FlyOne Armenia Board Chairman Aram Ananyan said in a statement on social media that he is receiving a number of calls regarding the delays of some flights of the airline.

“Unfortunately, the reason is the weather. It’s already two days a dense fog is being observed in the airport in the morning, as a result of which flights are being delayed. We follow the weather conditions and do everything possible to return to the normal flight schedule. Be confident that your safe and comfortable flights are our priority. I apologize to you for this inconvenience caused by circumstances beyond our control”, Aram Ananyan said.
