Judge removes Arayik Khandoyan from court (video)
Attorneys’ entry to the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan’s Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts was again hindered on September 6.
Court bailiffs demanded that the lawyers open their bags and go through a search but the lawyers refused to do it, saying it was done deliberately. Only after leaving their bags outside were several lawyers able to enter the courtroom. However, lawyers Lusine Sahakyan and Mushegh Shushanyan did not want to carry their bags with them.
Today the court continues hearing in the case of the 14 members of the Sasna Dzrer (the Daredevils of Sasun) group that seized a police station in Yerevan last summer. Today’s session started with a 40-minute delay. At the beginning of the hearing, the judge removed Arayik Khandoyan from the courtroom saying he was hindering the session.
