Meeting between Donald Trump, Nikol Pashinyan possible, US Ambassador says
“We are looking at whether it might be possible for President Trump and the Prime Minister [of Armenia] to meet when they are both in New York on the margins of the UN General Assembly,” the US Ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills told reporters on Wednesday when asked to comment on the possibility of the meeting between Donald Trump and Nikol Pashinyan.
“Both sides would like the meeting to happen,” the Ambassador said. In his words, the schedules of the two leaders are very tight, and no decision has been made whether the meeting is possible.
“We are very pleased at the Embassy and in Washington that there have been so much other contacts between the new government and the senior US government officials,” added the Ambassador.
