YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian met with Qatar’s Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdulla bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie on the sidelines of his official visit in Doha, the Presidential Office told Armenpress.

Introducing his effective discussions and agreements reached during the visit President Sarkissian said Armenia and Qatar have huge opportunities to develop their relations, and Armenia is interested in deepening the mutually beneficial partnership.

President Armen Sarkissian presented also Armenia’s investment and competitive opportunities and advantages. The sides considered food reprocessing, supply and safety as one of the prospective fields for cooperation. The President said Armenia, which is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) can be viewed as a commercial platform and a gateway to the bigger markets. In addition, Armenia also has a developed production of mineral waters, and there is a great cooperation potential in this field.

The Qatari minister in turn stated that these are very important fields for Qatar, and they are interested in implementing joint projects. An agreement was reached to organize mutual visits of businessmen, exchange with the necessary information and continue the discussions on the future cooperation opportunities.
