Team Telecom Armenia to replace Beeline from May 1April 26, 2022 - 13:05 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Telecom Armenia is almost done with its rebranding process launched after acquiring 100% stake in Veon Armenia (Beeline). Beginning from May 1, the Beeline brand will no longer be used in Armenia, and Team Telecom Armenia, deploying the rich experience of the first communications operator in the country, will continue and take more active steps to enter the practical phase of its strategic plans. In parallel with the rebranding, the company has started building a unique NGN (Next Generation Network) network with 25Gb/s 25G-PON technology in the region. The NGN network is already available in Yerevan's Davtashen and Arabkir communities, in the town of Kajaran and Jermuk, as well as the village of Gndevaz. Besides, Team has in recent months brought 4G coverage to 14 cities and 65 communities, incorporating the technology into nearly 80 existing base stations and creating dozens of state-of-the-art cell towers. In the near future, stations throughout Armenia will be connected to the new NGN network, which will significantly improve the quality of mobile communication in the country. As a result of the deal reached between Team Founders Hayk and Alexandr Yesayan and Veon Armenia on October 29, 2020, one of the largest telecommunications companies has become Armenian again.
