President Donald Trump gave his first State of the Union address on Tuesday and paid attention to the US Administration work and to economic success in the first year of his presidency, White House reported.

About Americans

Trump devoted considerable attention to ordinary Americans who made America better and stronger: "Over the last year, the world has seen what we always knew: that no people on Earth are so fearless, or daring, or determined as Americans. If there is a mountain, we climb it. If there is a frontier, we cross it. If there’s a challenge, we tame it. If there’s an opportunity, we seize it. "

About economics

US President noted that from the moment he entered office "a new tide of optimism” was already sweeping across US. According to Trump, over the last year, US have made incredible progress and achieved extraordinary success.

Among them, he attributed 2.4 million new jobs, including 200,000 new jobs in manufacturing alone. Unemployment claims have hit a 45-year low.  The stock market is breaking records.

About tax reforms

According to Trump, tax reform has become a huge help to the middle class and small businesses. He proudly noted that the provision of the law that obliged Americans to purchase health insurance or pay a fine was abolished. The tax rate on business has been reduced from 35% to 21%, "so American companies can compete and win against anyone else anywhere in the world.” This will allow, "increasing average family income by more than $4,000.” Trump recalled that many companies announced the payment of bonuses to their employees and plans for large-scale investments.

About the federal government

Trump also discussed the unity of America: "All of us, together, as one team, one people, and one American family can do anything. We all share the same home, the same heart, the same destiny, and the same great American flag.”

After that, the president stressed "Americans love their country, and they deserve a government that shows them the same love and loyalty in return. For the last year, we have sought to restore the bonds of trust between our citizens and their government.” Trump told about his successes in the reform of the state apparatus.

About foreign trade

US leader noted that America has stopped making unfavorable deals on the international scene and expects to be treated fairly.

About infrastructure

Trump began with a graphic comparison: "America is a nation of builders. We built the Empire State Building in just one year. Isn’t it a disgrace that it can now take 10 years just to get a minor permit approved for the building of a simple road?"

The president urged Congress to forget about party disagreements and allocate not less than 1.5 trillion dollars for infrastructure projects. He also promised to destroy the bureaucratic obstacles for this.

About immigration

According to Trump, immigration policies should serve the interests of American workers and American families. He condemned the "open borders" that lead to the destruction of jobs and allow criminals and drugs to enter the United States. The president was talking about the Salvadoran criminal group MS-13, whose members commit terrible crimes in the US. Trump also noted the need to build a wall on the border with Mexico, to end the visa lottery green card and "chain immigration."

About Foreign and Defense Policy

Speaking of Foreign and Defense Policy, Donald Trump note that US “faces rogue regimes, terrorist groups, and rivals like China and Russia that challenge our interests, our economy, and our values.”

Trump recalled his intention to increase the military budget. “As part of our defense, we must modernize and rebuild our nuclear arsenal,” said Trump.

He urged Congress “to finally close the deadly loopholes" in the nuclear agreement with Iran, and recalled that his administration imposed severe sanctions against Venezuela and Cuba.

Trump recalled that North Korea's nuclear missiles are threatening US, and that the US will exert pressure on Pyongyang, as "concessions only invite aggression and provocation."

About fight against terrorism

Trump promised to defeat ISIS. He announced his intention to keep the prison at Guantanamo.

About future
