PM also held a talk with members of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF) and assured of his intention to bring business to Armenia.

The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) has launched a petition drive asking to schedule an immediate up-or-down vote on bipartisan genocide-prevention resolution.

The resolution draws upon the lessons of the Armenian Genocide and the broader Ottoman Turkish genocidal campaign to destroy Armenian, Greek, Assyrian, Chaldean, Syriac and other Christian nations on their biblical-era homelands.

Azerbaijan has yet again violated its international commitments, said Tigran Balayan, spokesperson of the Armenian Foreign Ministry when commenting on Azerbaijan’s statement with respect to conducting large-scale military exercises.

“Major military exercises will be conducted with the involvement of troops. In accordance with its international obligations, the Azerbaijani side was obligated to inform [about these drills to] the OSCE countries,” he said.

Azerbaijan will conduct large-scale operational and tactical military exercises, from September 17 to 22.

The final status of Karabakh must be determined by political and diplomatic means, said Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova.

She assured that Russia’s position on the Karabakh settlement remains unchanged. Russia, as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, will continue its efforts as a mediator to help in reaching a compromise.

“But, of course, the parties must create an appropriate climate for moving forward,” she added.

Israeli Foreign Ministry held a meeting Thursday with Israel's Regional Cooperation Minister Zakhi Hanegbi and Jerusalem Spiritual Leaders.

According to Chancellor at Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem Hovnan Baghdasaryan, patriarchate representatives also raised the issue of lifting visas for pilgrims arriving from Armenia. Hanegbi reposed favourably in this regard.

Twelve students of Yerevan’s financial and economic college have been taken to hospital after they complained about feeling sick.

As revealed later, poisoning was caused by a leakage of gas from a cylinder that was placed in the yard of the college and was used by a company producing refreshment beverages.
