YEREVAN.-  Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received on Wednesday the delegation of Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee headed by its Chairman Sajjad Karim, the press service of the Government of Armenia reported.

The Premier saluted the holding of the 17th session of the Armenia-EU Parliamentary Cooperation Committee in Yerevan, and stressed that Armenia highlights the signing of the CEPA with the EU. “It’s an important event for us. The agreement reaffirms both our commitment to continue with the large-scale reforms in our country and the EU’s commitment to assist us in that work”, Karapetyan said.

He informed that the works of the establishment of an inter-agency commission responsible for the implementation of the agreement are underway. Underlining that the signing of the agreement will be an additional stimulus for European companies, the Head of the Executive presented the opportunities of Armenia.

He noted that taking into account the existing privileged regimes, Armenia should be viewed as a platform through which it’s possible to enter into the markets of the Eurasian Economic Union, the EU, the USA and Iran.

Karen Karapetyan also responded to the questions of the European parliamentarians, which mainly referred to the implementation of the steps provided by the agreement, reforms initiated in various spheres, efforts made to develop the economy and other issues.
