The Defense Ministry added that the process of exchanging the prisoners of war and the bodies of those killed should begin with the mediation of the International Committee of the Red Cross. The Armenian side confirmed the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Army adheres to the ceasefire and dismissed Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the humanitarian truce as a provocation. Azerbaijan, meanwhile, targeted the Armenian positions just one hour into the ceasefire on Monday morning, as well as used its air force to fire on the town of Martuni. Armenia and Azerbaijan agreed earlier that a humanitarian ceasefire reached on October 10 and October 17 will take effect in the morning of October 26, according to a statement released by the Governments of the United States, Armenia, and Azerbaijan on Sunday.
