Armenia’s National Assembly today unanimously passed a resolution recognizing and condemning the 2014 genocide of the Yezidi people in Iraq.

The resolution was introduced by MPs Rustam Makhmudyan, Vahram, Baghdasaryan and Armen Rustamyan.

The resolution calls on the international community to bring those responsible for the crime to justice and to take steps to prevent such human rights violations in the future.
