YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS. The US Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, the US representative in the Caucasus negotiations, Philip Reeker, will leave Azerbaijan for Tbilisi, from where will arrive in Yerevan, ARMENPRESS reports Reeker announced in his video message.

"The United States supports the direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan and calls to maintain that pace in the coming year. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken believes in the possibility of peace and the potential of the South Caucasus. He asked me to come to the region this week," Reeker says in a video message.

The diplomat emphasizes that the process of achieving peace is not easy, because "the conflict has caused suffering to the parties for years."

"However, there is hope for a peaceful future. I hope that the momentum of these peace talks will be maintained. I have seen real, bold steps by both countries that can build strong peace," he says.
