New Urartian exhibition coming to Yerevan's Erebuni Museum

PanARMENIAN.Net - The exhibition Secret of the Earth. Karmir Blur is opening at the Erebuni Museum in Yerevan, Armenia on May 21 to showcase more than 60 ancient artefacts discovered from the Karmir Blur archeological site and restored by the Scientific Research Centre for Historical and Cultural Heritage.

Karmir Blur, a hill in the suburbs of Yerevan, is home to the fortress of Teishebaini, founded in around the 7th century by the Urartian King Rusa II, in honor of God Teisheba.

The exhibits reflect details about the the beliefs, life, military art of the Urartian Kingdom, as excavations here are considered one of the most important archaeological discoveries and findings in the Middle East, the Near East and Asia Minor.

The exhibition will run through November 21
