YEREVAN, OCTOBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Deputy Minister of Economy Varos Simonyan on October 24 received Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia Stefano Lazzarotto, the ministry told Armenpress.

The Armenian deputy minister welcomed the Ambassador and stated that the meeting is a good opportunity to talk about expanding the bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries.

The Swiss Ambassador said they are excited to cooperate with the Armenian government in a number of areas, in particular agriculture and territorial administration programs.

The deputy minister highlighted Switzerland’s assistance programs implemented in Armenia which contribute to the continuation of socio-economic reforms in the country.

The sides also discussed issues relating to the Armenian-Swiss cooperation agenda. Reaffirming the readiness to continue the ongoing joint programs the officials touched upon the opportunities to develop the cooperation at various directions.
