“I will speak about the reasons of my departure in the future”, says Osipyan
YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS. Shortly after being dismissed as Police Chief of Armenia, Valery Osipyan released the following statement:
“During my entire life I have served the state and the people, law and justice, having the officer’s honor and dignity as the exclusive guideline and standards. I will further continue serving my people with the same standards of principle and morality. I will speak about the reasons of my departure in the future.
And today, I would like to thank the Armenian people for appreciating the police officer’s job and for valuing the implemented changes, thank you to the entire police force – from private to general – thank you to the police troops, thank you to the public council under the police chief, the news media – for standing by our side at the difficult and responsible phase for the state.
Thank you to all those with whom I have passed a long and difficult road in carrying out our honest service. I am wishing everyone good and selfless service, resolute commitment to the officer’s honor and dignity, determination and readiness for decision-making.
I am grateful to everybody for the professional and selfless service.
I have the honor”.
Osipyan was dismissed from office by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan earlier today.
