“The recent escalation along the Line of Conflict between Azerbaijani and Karabakh armed forces was expected. Nothing new has happened these days,” says political analyst Alaxander Iskandaryan. “It was also expected that Azerbaijanis would shell [Armenian positions]. It is not the first time that this country has endangered its civilian population. Azerbaijan does the same thing before all major meetings on the international level and this was not an exception. There is a way to find out everything but that country [Azerbaijan] does not agree that incidents be investigated because it will immediately become clear that Azerbaijan is the initiator,” the political analyst said. Mr. Iskandaryan says Azerbaijan is not preparing for war. “When they prepare for war, they usually keep silent. If such incidents are only meant for domestic consumption, then everything is done properly. The method of publishing photos of a child killed in military operations is popular in the world and works very well. Everyone is shocked but few people know the reality,” said the political analyst. Speaking about the G20 summit which starts in Hamburg (Germany) on July 7, the political analyst said that it will focus on the Syrian conflict, relations between Syria and the East, but not the Karabakh conflict.
