Iran expects Europe to make steps for preserving nuclear deal

Iran expects Europe to make steps for preserving nuclear deal

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. Iran is still expecting steps on preserving the nuclear deal from European participants of the deal, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Abbas Mousavi said on September 16, according to Press TV.

“We are still waiting that Europe will make steps aimed at preserving the nuclear deal,” he said.

“Iran is negotiating with Europeans, particularly with the French side,” he added.

However, Mousavi claimed that the EU is trying to get USA’s permission to carry out its promises as part of the deal.

Earlier President Hassan Rouhani had announced that Iran will further cut its obligations under the nuclear deal if necessary.

Iranian FM Mohammad Zarif had also weighed in on the matter, stating that European participants of the agreement must make efforts to save the nuclear deal because they are the ones who failed to meet their obligations.
