Soldier Davit Gishyan killed in Azerbaijani captivity; Armenia applies to ECHR

Armenian soldier Davit Gishyan (born in 2002) was killed after being taken captive by Azerbaijani forces, the office of Armenia’s representative before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) confirmed on Monday.

The office has applied to the European Court over Azerbaijan’s violation of Article 2 of the European Convention on Human Rights, its spokeswoman Hasmik Samvelyan said.
