This year’s Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to Russian independent newspaper Novaya Gazeta’s Editor in Chief Dmitry Muratov and Filipino-American journalist Maria Ressa “for their efforts to safeguard freedom of expression”, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty reports.
