The Republican parliamentary group will not set any obstacles to the meeting of parliament to elect prime minister and will ensure there is quorum, the head of the Republican parliamentary group told reporters. “The meeting will take place, the Republic of Armenia will have a prime minister, we will not set obstacles to holding the meeting, the quorum will be ensured. Armenia will have a prime minister within the period envisaged by the Constitution because the country cannot be paralyzed,” the head of parliamentary group said.
The Republican parliamentary group does not make is clean how it will vote but Vahram Baghdasaryan notes that it is not correct to allow a free voting because, according to him, “the party may lose its face”. “If it does not happen today, we must have another election to prime minister, otherwise the Constitution requires disbanding the parliament,” Baghdasaryan said. He thinks the early elections cannot do good to the development of the country. “If the early elections were a necessity, there would be dissatisfaction in 2017 when the parliament was elected but everyone was happy after that election,” he said.
