PanARMENIAN.Net - De jure recognition of Nagorno Karabakh’s independence is only a matter of time, deputy speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov said Tuesday, September 13.
Karabakh will never be part of Azerbaijan, he added.
In response to a question about the territorial issue, Sharmazanov said that Karabakh’s status is the number one issue today.
“Armenia will support the fair struggle of the people of Karabakh which began back in 1988,” Sharmazanov said.
Weighing in on the agreements reached at summits in Vienna and Saint Petersburg, the deputy speaker said that Azerbaijan hinders their implementation.
