The Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Russia has commented on the incident that member of the City Duma of Armavir (Krasnodar Region) Aleksey Vinogradov pained the memorial board dedicated to Garegin Nzhdeh located in the territory of an Armenian church in Armavir City. As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in Russia, the Embassy expressed deep frustration over the incident.
“We assess the actions of member of the City Duma of Armavir (Krasnodar Region) Aleksey Vinogradov as acts of vandalism and arbitrariness in the territory of the Armenian Apostolic Church, which contradicts to the legal regulations.
These actions are not in line with the nature of the Armenian-Russian relations and can lead to interethnic tensions.
