The expectation from our strategic partner Russia is that it is not the best time now to discuss the price increase of the natural gas supplied to Armenia in a situation when there is a sharp oil price decline and coronavirus crisis with pending social issues for the moment, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated on Saturday during the press conference.
Asked by Russian Interfax news agency to comment on the current phase of negotiations regarding the gas price, Pashinyan noted that political consultations are currently underway and he cannot comment further. The PM reminded that Gazprom Armenia has filed a request with the Public Services Regulatory Commission to review the gas price.
