The European Union expects that the election in Armenia proceeds without issues and in line with democratic principles, head of the EU delegation to Armenia Piotr Switalski told reporters in the 9/18 polling station in the S. Spandaryan School.
“A big team has worked and big work has been carried out, in order for the elections to be good in Armenia, in order for the country’s future to be good as well”, Switalski said.
Parliamentary elections in Armenia began with 2009 polling stations opened in 13 electoral districts nationwide.
The voting will end at 20:00 followed by counting of the ballots.
According to the latest data of the Police, the total number of citizens eligible to vote is 2,564,195, the number of voters without registration is 915.
