"...I tell my wife, “let's go back to Syria”, but she doesn't want to. True, there are problems with electricity, gas, food, water... But life in Syria is much easier than here in Armenia," a taxi driver tells me.
I listened to him all the way and now I am thinking, trying to understand it all.
It seems hard to perceive why life is easier there.
Are the people there simpler? Is it about relationships? Are there more job opportunities? What is there for an Armenian in war-torn Syria that isn't in war-hit Armenia?
I regret that Armenia never became a homeland for these people.
