Corruption must be fought against from the “above,” the bribe taker should fear respective punishment, and the society should psychologically pressure the corrupt official, psychologist Samvel Khudoyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
In his view, corruption truly has ethical and psychological grounds, in many cases.
“In general, all authoritarian societies have corruption risks,” added Khudoyan.As per the psychologist, in Armenia, corruption is considered to be an “investment,” in numerous cases.
“An official gives bribe, sits in the post [as a result], [and] starts bringing the [respective paid bribe] money back,” he noted.
