Pele's death at the age of 82 marks the passing of one of the greatest figures in world football who inspired many of today's greatest players.
Following word of the passing of 'O Rei', two of the biggest stars in world football paid tribute to the Brazilian, Marca reported.
Cristiano Ronaldo posted a message on his Instagram account, in which he extended his condolences for the passing of the Brazilian legend.
"My deepest condolences to all of Brazil, and in particular to the family of Mr. Edson Arantes do Nascimento," wrote the Portuguese striker.
"A mere "goodbye" to the eternal King Pele will never be enough to express the pain that currently grips the entire world of football. An inspiration for so many millions, a reference of yesterday, today, forever.
