YEREVAN. -- The extraordinary parliamentary elections will be held in late November or early December, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in Baghramyan avenue addressing protesters.
Pashinyan said he would resign as soon as the resignation of the ministers and governors representing ARF and Prosperous Armenia parties will be in force de jure. However, the PM did not specify the day.
“7 + 1 days later, the parliament will have to elect a prime minister. If during this period the prime minister is not elected, another elections must be held in 7 + 1 days. If the prime minister is not elected this time, early parliamentary elections should be held. A few days later, I will resign, and if it turns out that the people are in favor of holding early elections, the people and I will not allow the National Assembly elect a new prime minister. After my resignation, I will continue to perform the duties of the prime minister,” Pashinyan said....
