Constitutional Court head says authorities seek to ‘get rid of' him as soon as possible

Constitutional Court Chairman Hrayr Tovmasyan reacted to the search conducted in his apartment by the Special Investigative Service on Friday.

“I was summoned for questioning for 2 to 3 times and today a search was conducted in my home. Throughout this period, I made only one request, that is the whole process be videotaped,” he told reporters, adding their demand, however, has repeatedly been rejected by the law-enforcement authorities.

The head of Armenia’s top court thanked reporters, adding the public oversight of the case is of key importance for him.
