Yervand Khundkaryan has no decision on self-nomination as Constitutional Court head yet

Yervand Khundkaryan, a newly elected judge of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, has not yet made a decision on self-nominating for chairman of the country’s top court, he told reporters on Thursday.

Khundkaryan said no candidate has been nominated by judges or self-nominated for the position so far.

The judge made the same comments when speaking to reporters on Wednesday, adding he had not yet made up his mind on nominating another Constitutional Court judge for the post.

The Constitutional Court held a working session on Wednesday, with the election of its new head on the agenda. However, the session did not finish due to the end of the working day. It is set to continue today.
