President of the Republic of Armenia Armen Sarkissian visited today the well-known German "DESY" research center in Tsoyten, which conducts fundamental research in high energy and accelerator physics, president’s press office informed.
"DESY" cooperates with A. E. Alikhanyan National Scientific Laboratory, Yerevan Physics Institute and Yerevan CANDLE Synchrotron Research Institute.
President of the Board of Directors of "DESY", Professor Helmut Dosch presented the directions of the center’s activities to President Sarkissian. The President also learnt about the capabilities of the PITZ accelerator in the center, after which he met with 3DESY” Scientific Council.
