Armenia’s Minister of Emergency Situations Feliks Tsolakyan held a telephone conversation with Iran’s Deputy Ambassador to Armenia Ali Mohammad Motaghi after a strong earthquake hit the country in the early hours on Friday.
The 5.9-magnitude quake, which struck about 120 kilometres (75 miles) southeast of the city of Tabriz, in Iran’s East Azerbaijan Province, killed at least 5 people and injured 120.
