Armenia-South Korea trade turnover grows

Trade turnover between Armenia and South Korea is growing every year: in 2018 turnover was $35,000,000, whereas only in the second half of 2019 the number reached $27,000,000, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia Operations Director Vladimir Amiryan told reporters during the Armenia-Korea Business Forum in Yerevan. The forum is co-organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia and the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA).

“We want to acquire Korean equipment, as well as carry out exchange of experience. Koreans are now interested in presenting their products and services,” Amiryan said, adding that Koreans are rather interested in the Armenian market.

He said they also want more Korean tourists to visit Armenia.

Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Armenia CEO Andranik Alexanyan stressed that such forums can give results.
