The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia has denied the registration request of the Communist Party for the upcoming elections in the Goris community of Syunik Province, the CEC told Panorama.am.
Four political forces submitted a bid to participate in the elections to the Council of Elders to be held in Goris on October 17.
They included the alliance led by the incumbent Goris community head, Arush Arushanyan, who is currently under arrest, the ruling Civil Contract party, the Communist Party and the Armenian National Congress Party.
