Trilateral cooperation can bring great results: Armenian PM hosts Greek President

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received President of Greece Procopios Pavlopolos who arrived in Armenia on an official visit on November 5, the PM’s Office told Armenpress.

Welcoming the Greek President in the Armenian government, the PM expressed confidence that his visit to Armenia will contribute to developing and expanding the Armenian-Greek friendly ties. “Mr. President, I remember with pleasure our meeting in Beijing, China, at the Forum of Asian Civilizations where we had a comprehensive talk about the relations of our countries and our bilateral agenda in general. The relations between our states and peoples are at a very high level, and I hope we will be able to establish a more effective economic cooperation on this favorable background, as well as to raise our cooperation in other spheres to a new level and increase the results.

Let me once again welcome you in Armenia and express my satisfaction over your visit. I am confident this will give a new, a better dynamics to the relations of our countries”, the Armenian PM said.

In his turn the Greek President thanked the Armenian PM for the warm welcome and stated: “During our meeting in Beijing I promised you to visit Armenia within a year and I am very happy that I did my promise. Secondly, I want also to note that I am happy that Armenia is participating in the forum of ancient civilizations because this format is very important. I hope Armenia will play its role and will bring its contribution to the cooperation on strengthening civilizations within the framework of this format.

We especially welcome the efforts made by Armenia and its people aimed at the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide. This is a very important step, and we are providing our support to the ma...
