France is the current vice-champion of Europe, and Armenia is the winner of the FIBA European Championship for Small Countries.
Regarding the upcoming friendly matches, the president of the Federation, Hrachya Rostomyan, said: "It is a great honor for us to play a friendly match with the French national team. Armenia and France are friendly countries, which is also reflected in the basketball federations of both countries.
