On August 17, at 09:43 local time (at 05:43 GMT) the Territorial Seismic Protection Service of Armenia's Ministry of emergency Situations (MES) registered an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 and 10 kilometers depth with the geographic coordinates of 41.17⁰ in northern latitude and 43.95⁰ in eastern longitude.
