Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan considers the 2020 state budget draft revolutionary.
The PM delivered remarks in the Parliament during the debate of the budget draft, noting: “Firstly, is the 2020 budget draft revolutionary? During the 2018 revolution when I was not yet the Prime Minister of Armenia, I publicly announced that the budget of Armenia should increase by 30-35% within one-two years, this was one of the promises of the revolution. Now, the revenue part of the 2020 state budget surpasses that of 2018 by 27.4%, if we add to this the budget performance indicators in 2018, which are over-fulfilled by 62 billions, therefore, the budget increase comprises 33%.
