Armenia’s Armavir police opened a criminal case for attempts to vote multiple times, NEWS.am reports. The suspect was arrested.
According to police, on April 2, 2017, the Criminal Investigation Department of Armavir region received a call that multiple voting attempts by the same person have been recorded on the polling station #16/03. The law enforcement agents responded to the call and found out that Armavir city resident A. Kaghzvantsyan voted in the parliamentary elections legally at the polling station #16/3, on April 2, 2017, at 08.15 am. After that, the citizen went to the same polling station and attempted to vote again, however, the attempt has been revealed and prevented by the commission prior to the police arrival.
