The statement mentions that the two states will build their relations based on strategic partnership with the spirit of mutual trust and guided by principles of respect towards sovereignty, peaceful settlement of disputes and non use of force or the threat to use it, non interference in the domestic affairs of one another, equality and mutual benefit. The Heads of State expressed readiness to deepen bilateral relations in economic, trade, transport, military and military technical spheres, as well as in the spheres of science, culture, tourism and health.
The Presidents affirmed that the deepening of foreign policy cooperation between Armenia and Tajikistan based on mutual support in the issues concerning to the fundamental interests of the two states stems from the interest of the two peoples to strengthen friendship and is a key element in Armenian-Tajik interstate partnership. The Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Tajikistan will expand constructive partnership in the sidelines of the UN, OSCE, CSTO, CIS and other international institutions for the sake of peace, stability and strengthening of security both on regional and global levels.
