Davit Sanasaryan confirms reports about meeting with Pashinyan

Armenia’s oversight service chief Davit Sanasaryan indicted in corruption probe confirmed on Saturday reports that he had met with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. Sanasaryan’s remarks came at an interview with media as he arrived in Mashtots park in Yerevan to join celebrations of Citizen’s Day.

Asked whether he had met with the PM, Sanasaryan said: “We have met, had discussions. He is neither a judge nor a prosecutor to interfere in the case.” Asked whether the PM believes in his honesty, Sansaryan recommended to turn to the PM for the comment.

“To me the greatest trust and faith come from the people as I feel that every day which also empowers me,” added Sanasaryan.
