The Penitentiary and Probation Services of Armenia issued negative conclusions regarding the early release of Nairi Hunanyan, the man who led the attack on the Armenian Parliament on October 27, 1999, from prison, the justice ministry told Armenpress.
Given that the two services issued negative opinions, the administration of the correctional facility on October 28 decided not to submit to the court the issue of Hunanyan’s parole or the mitigation of the remaining part of the sentence. The decision can be appealed within ten days after its receipt.
